Managed to make a song like my old style and remembered how much fun it was. Not having any musical knowledge or following rules, just doing it because I like it. I'll probably post it in a day or 2.

I've decided. No more Almost Ichabod or Bucket of Dragons. I want to be me not a persona. And I'm Tobey, a 22 year old amateur musican who just wants to make and cover songs for fun, to inspire, and for others to dance to. Almost Ichabod's New Grounds will remain inactive, my music can still be found just under the name Tobey.

So I'm still trying to do music but there's been some unfortunate events that've put me off. a family passing, emergency surgery for my cat, ALL my 1/4 cables and pedal power cables breaking, my bass amp fizzled so I can't really practice (I could go through my audio interface but I have no cables), and just general depression. I've got to sell a synth I don't use to get the cables I need so I should be back to recording soon. In the meantime however I've been contemplating what to do about Almost Ichabod and Bucket of Dragons. Unfortunately I believe it may be time to put Almost Ichabod to rest or maybe use it for something else (music sketches or whatever). But I would be using Bucket of Dragons as my new main. Essentially I have tons of ideas that won't work for AI but would work for BoD.

Please wait warmly, a decision about what to do will be made soon. Regardless of my choice I still hope to inspire people with my music. If I decide to close AI BoD will simply take it's place.

If I were to make mostly Human After All sounding stuff what would you like to hear done different?

Think about HAA, it’s kind of repetitive but what else could be fixed with it?

This is just to get ideas for music.

My album I was working on is being scrapped mostly.

So I have been working on writing tons of songs, many scrapped and rewritten. But I will be taking some time off of writing for a bit.

My grandmother passed away this past Sunday night. She had been having issues before but was misdiagnosed with electrolyte imbalance, dehydration, or even told that it was in her head in a sense. This last hospital visit they found out she had a blood infection, several days later, still in the hospital, her already weak heart couldn't fight the infection anymore and stopped in her sleep.

The house will be so quiet without her. She was moved out of MICU to general medicine early that Sunday morning then moved to ICU later that day, for a little bit it seemed she would come back home then hours later she was gone.

She always liked my music and art. She liked my covers of Who Put the Bomp and Pretty Woman over on Bucket of Dragons (the songs are were removed by me before she passed). I'll miss seeing her "like" notifications when I post to my personal accounts.

As for music. I will be writing a song for her, may keep it private though, then take a break before going back to music again. I have tons of old songs I want to remake but now lack the equipment to so that will put me back a little bit too. But the old Almost Ichabod style of music will be coming back.

I want all who read this far to do me a favor. Tell someone you love that you love them. Because they can be gone like that.

I have been writing but I've been playing Genshin Impact more. But now that I've spent an ungodly amount of money and FINALLY got Klee I'm back to writing more. Still don't expect an album soon, I want it to be perfect,

I'm still working on music but I'm trying to work harder and make my songs perfect.

My goal comes with a small story. Summer of 2013, just after my grandfather passed away, Random Access Memories came out. That album, combined with my friends, created an unforgettable summer for me. The album brought us all so much joy and the summer felt endless that year. Things have changed since then and I will never have another summer like that again. What does this have to do with my goal? My goal is to create and unforgettable, magical, endless summer feeling, not for me but for others.

I always said "don't try to be like Daft Punk" to myself and so I only used them for inspiration. But what's wrong with being like them? What's wrong with creating a summer like that for other people? Nothing.

I suppose in writing this I feel I understand more why Daft Punk retired. Whether it takes a few albums or 100 I will make a grand time for others through music. Who's to say that wasn't their goal? What if RAM was what they wanted? Then after trying to do it again they realized they just couldn't top RAM?

I'm not trying to be better than them or anything, I just want to create for others.
